Catechetical Sunday 2010
The ministry of the word is a fundamental element of evangelization through all its stages because it involves the proclamation of Jesus Christ, the eternal Word of God. "There is no true evangelization if the name, the teaching, the life, the promises, the Kingdom and the mystery of Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God, are not proclaimed." The word of God nourishes both evangelizers and those who are being evangelized so that each one may continue to grow in his or her Christian life. (National Directory for Catechesis, #17)
Catechetical Sunday 2010 will be celebrated nation-wide on September 19, 2010. The theme is Matrimony, Sacrament of Enduring Love. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
