This is where the icon, San Damiano Cross, spoke to Francis.
The Risen Christ spoke to Francis from the cross,
““Francis, go rebuild my church, which is falling down.”

It is the lives torn down by injustice.
It is the young grown old before their time.

Look in the eyes of those without friendship.
Heal now the wounds and forgotten scars.

Go and be poor in the midst of wealth and power.
Greet everyone with peace and gospel love.
