Dot The Catechetical Annual Report is open for collection for religious education programs in the Archdiocese during the month of October.  Directors and coordinators of religious education should make sure that your parish program is represented in the final count due by Thursday, October 30, 2014.  Consult your regional director for more information.

Dot The Basic Leadership Training Course continues with Catechesis and Contemporary Technology on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Maryknoll Sisters, Ossining, NY.

Dot The Catechetical Office has published a handbook Formation Handbookwhich details the Formation for Parish Catechetical Leaders and Catechists.  It is a handy guide for pastors, catechetical leaders and catechists to explore ways to enrich their faith formation ministry. 

National Parish Religious Education WeekDotNational Parish Religious Education week will be celebrated Sunday, November 2, 2014 to Saturday, November 8, 2014.  It focuses attention on the parish as the hub of lifelong faith formation.  This year's theme is Encountering Christ Every Day ~ Encuentro con Cristo cada día.  Resources and other materials are available at the NCEA website.

Pray the RosaryDot October is the month of the Holy Rosary.  It's a time to remember to pray the rosary, a prayer of meditation and petition, asking the prayerful help of Mary, the Mother of Jesus.  Need a refresher or resources to help teach someone to pray the rosary.  Here's some help.
