This page provides travel directions for each location in the Archdiocese where professional training and inservice is offered for Directors and Coordinators of Religious Education.

Church is located between Pilgrim & Mayflower Aves. Rectory is next to Church. Sessions will be held in Rectory Meeting Room. Parking is on the Street.

By Subway:
Take the # 6 train toward Pelham Bay Park. Get off train at Buhre Ave.
At bottom of stairs, walk on Edison Ave. (which is one block west of Westchester Ave.)
Go 1 block. Make left on St. Theresa Ave.
Go 2 & half blocks to Church and rectory on right.

By Bus:
Take # 12 bus on Fordham Road to Pelham Bay Station.
From station walk 3 or 4 blocks underneath the "El".
At first light, turn right onto St. Theresa Ave.
Continue 3 & half blocks to Church & rectory on right.

By Car from Manhattan:
Take Triboro Bridge to Bronx & Bruckner Expressway to New England Thruway (I-95)
OR Take West Side Highway to George Washington Bridge Exit to New England Thruway (I-95).
Take New England Thruway to Exit 7 C (Country Club Rd./Pelham Bay Park).
At first light, make left over highway. Go for 2 lights.
Turn right onto Middletown Rd. Go 1 block and turn left onto Mahan Ave.
Go 3 long blocks to Westchester Ave. (Elevated Train)
Go straight under "El" to St. Theresa Ave and turn left.
Continue 3 & half blocks to Church and rectory on right.

By Car from George Washington Bridge (Bronx/Manhattan side):
Take Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95 North/New England Thruway).
Proceed to Exit 7 C (Country Club Rd/Pelham Bay Park).
At first light make left over highway. Go for 2 lights.
Make right onto Middletown Rd. Go 1 block and make left onto Mahan Ave.
Go 3 long blocks to Westchester Ave. (elevated train).
Go straight under "El" to St. Theresa Ave. and turn left.
Continue 3 & half blocks to Church Rectory.

By Car from Westchester:
Go South on Hutchinson River Parkway. Exit at Westchester Ave. .
Proceed to stop sign at end of ramp. Turn left. and go one block to Westchester Ave. .
Turn left under Elevated Train.
Drive under "El" to St. Theresa Ave. & make left.
Go 3 & half blocks to Church and rectory on right

Maryknoll Sisters Center, No. Westchester

Located on Ryder-Pinesbridge Road right next to Ossining, NY

Maryknoll has an extensive property in Ossining on both sides of Ryder (Pinesbridge) Road. The Maryknoll Sisters are on one side and the Priests/Brothers on the other. The address is Ryder Rd. but on one end Ryder becomes Pinesbridge and on the other end it becomes Campwoods.

The Basic Training Program is held in the Rogers Building which is at a left angle to the Sisters' Convent. Use the driveway called "Guest Entrance".

By Car Going North on the Taconic:
Travel North on the Taconic to Pinesbridge Rd. Exit (very small sign)
At end of exit turn left onto Pinesbridge Road and continue West about 2 miles.
Maryknoll Sisters are on the left. The "Guest Entrance" is the first one.
Turn left into parking lot. You will then be facing Rogers Building.

By Car Going South on the Taconic:
Travel South on the Taconic to exit for Route 100.
Cross Route 100 and take Route 133 West. Continue about 1 & half miles.
Turn right onto Brookside Lane.
Continue to Pinesbridge Road and turn right.
Maryknoll Sisters are on right. The "Guest Entrance" is the second one.
Turn left into parking lot. You will then be facing Rogers Building.

By Car Going North on Route 9:
Travel north on Route 9 to Route 133. Turn right (East) on Rt. 133.
At Campwood Rd. bear left. Campwood becomes Ryder.
Pass the Maryknoll Fathers on left.
Maryknoll Sisters are on right. The "Guest Entrance" is the second one.
Turn left into parking lot. You will then be facing Rogers Building.

By Car Going South on Route 9:
Travel South on Route 9 to Briarcliff Manor Exit.
Continue on 9A to exit for Ryder Road (Pass a cemetery on right and then look for Ryder).
At end of exit turn right onto Ryder. Go less than a mile up the hill.
Pass the Maryknoll Fathers on left.
Maryknoll Sisters are on right. The "Guest Entrance" is the second one.
Turn left into parking lot. You will then be facing Rogers Building.

By Train (Hudson Line):
Get off at the Ossining Station. (All trains -- express and local -- stop at Ossining)
It is a 2 & half mile cab ride to Maryknoll from station. All the cab drivers know where Maryknoll is.

Classes are held in Parish Center.

Take the Hutchinson River Parkway to exit 12.

Driving South on the Hutch, take exit 12 and at yield sign at end of ramp go right to corner.
At light turn right onto East Lincoln.
Go to next light and turn right onto First Ave.

(Driving North on Hutch, take 12 and at end of ramp turn right onto First Ave.)

Drive down First to second stop sign. Turn left and go one block.
Turn right onto Second Ave.
Continue down Second 2 blocks to Church and Parish Center on right.
(Parish Center is in former school building.)

Enter Parish Center, go up the stairs and take immediate left.
Go through small kitchen and into large meeting room.

Take New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 13: Goethals Bridge
Cross Bridge and follow Staten Island Expressway (toward Verrazano Bridge)
Cross the whole of S.I.
Take the last exit before Bridge" (meaning Verrazano)
Proceed to light and turn right onto Lily Pond Ave.
Follow Lily Pond to next traffic light and turn right onto McLean Ave.
Follow McLean to next traffic light and turn left onto Sand Ave.
Go down 2 blocks -- office is on left. Once in the door go up the stairs.

Exit Thruway (87) at Exit 16, Harriman/Central Valley/Woodbury Commons
After toll booths, continue straight onto Route 17 West/6West
(this is a major highway)

Take exit 123 to merge onto route 17M West/6West
Drive 5.5 miles on 17 M West

Turn left at County Rd. 108.  This becomes County Rd. 78.
Drive slightly less than a mile.

Turn right on County Rd 49 which is Wawayanda Ave.
Drive a short distance to Parish Hall on the right.

By Car

From N.Y. Thruway: Traveling north or south take Exit 16, Harriman.
Turn right (north) onto Rt. 32.
*** Drive past Woodbury Common.
Go 2.5 miles thru Central Valley and into Highland Mills.
At 2nd traffic light turn left onto County Route 105. Bethany is one mile on right.

Alternate route from N.Y. City: Take Palisades Parkway north.
Follow signs for Exit 18, Route 6 west towards Central Valley.
Take the Newburgh exit. At end of ramp turn right onto Route 32 north.
Rest as above ***

From Route 17, New Jersey: Going north on Route 17,
it becomes Route 32 once you pass the NY Thruway at Harriman.
Follow directions above ***

From Newburgh and points north: follow Route 32 south into Highland Mills.
At traffic light turn righ onto County Route 105. Bethany is 1 mile on right.

From Middletown & points west: Take the Quickway (Route 17 east) to exit 131.
At end of exit ramp turn left onto Route 32. Rest as above ***


By Bus

The Short Line bus to Newburgh from Port Authority, NYC, stops in Highland Mills. (Short Line also has buses to Monroe and Woodbury Common Outlets.) Notify in advance and phone on arrival and someone will meet you at the bus stop.

By Train

From N.Y.City and New Jersey, take Path Train marked Hoboken at 6th Ave. & 33rd (or 23rd or 14th or 9th or Christopher) Street. At Hoboken, take train marked Port Jervis or Middletown or Harriman. Notify in advance and then phone upon arrival and someone will meet you at station.
