Certified Catechists
Congratulations to the following catechists who have completed the requirements for Level I Certification in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd . The participants come from parishes and schools across the Archdiocese and have successfully completed ninety hours of training. This certification has prepared them to work with our youngest children, ages three through six in our parish schools and religious education programs.

We are also happy to announce that through a grant obtained from the National Office of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, the Catechetical Office was able to assist in the training and certification of fifty religious from the Missionaries of Charity. The sisters have brought The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd not only to the parishioners of St. Rita’s in the Bronx and St. Joseph’s in Harlem but to several prisons and homeless shelters in their neighborhood.
