Rite of Calling CC Invitation

Dear Pastor and Parish Catechumenate (RCIA) Coordinator,
His Excellency Archbishop Timothy Dolan invites those candidates who have participated in their Parish Catechumenate (RCIA) process and are ready to complete their Christian initiation this Easter to formally celebrate the Rite of Continuing Conversion on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at one of these churches:
- 2:00pm at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick, New York City
- 2:30pm at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh
All candidates along with their sponsors are invited to attend the Rites of Continuing Conversion, either at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick or Sacred Heart Church in New burgh. Reserved seating will be provided for the candidates, their sponsors and the parish Catechumenate coordinators.
You must register your candidates in advance. The preparation for this celebration is extensive and so we must have your registration in by February 5, 2010. If your registration is not in by the 5th of February, we will not be able to include your Parish name in the booklet.
Registration is online. Registered parishes for the Cathedral Rites will receive their seat assignment by February 16, 2010.
We also invite each parish attending the Rite of Calling the Candidates to Continuing Conversion at the Cathedral to send a parish volunteer to assist at the Rite. Please note that the Parish Representative and Hospitality Volunteer should not normally be a sponsor.
