Why training? In order to be an effective youth minister, leadership formation is essential. The Basic Leadership Training for Catholic Youth Ministry helps nurture your own growth as a disciple of Jesus Christ as well as provides you with sufficient knowledge and background to carry out your ministry effectively.
Who? The Basic Leadership Training Program for Catholic Youth Ministry is designed for persons involved professionally or as volunteers with 7th and 8th grade and/or High School Students in a parish setting. It equips leaders with the knowledge, skills, practical tools and techniques needed for creative and comprehensive ministry with youth. The program includes ten courses offered on Saturdays. Equivalency from other programs will be considered.

Meals: Morning and afternoon hospitality will be provided. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch or purchase lunch in the surrounding area.
Fees and Registration: The Basic Leadership Training Program in Catholic Youth Ministry is $350. Registration is on a rolling basis, and individual sessions are $40. The fee includes books, handouts and materials. Registration is online only and available using the online form.
